Opportunity:
Our client seeks an Analyst to bolster financial operations, reporting to the Chief Genetic Officer and indirectly to the Ireland Controller. This role supports operational sectors in managing expenses, monitoring key drivers and KPIs, coordinating annual budgets, and optimizing Intellectual Property Rights to boost revenue. Manage R+D subsidy justifications and collaborate with diverse, multilingual teams to enhance efficiency, coordinating with corporate and establishing connections for joint activities. Vital for the division's growth into an IP company, this position is instrumental.
Responsibilities:
Performance Monitoring:
* Analyze financial data and KPIs to track performance against objectives.
* Review financial statements and reports to identify areas needing improvement.
Financial Analysis:
* Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies.
* Evaluate revenue, costs, and profitability ratios to gauge financial health.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Support budgeting process by providing financial analysis.
* Collaborate with departments to ensure budgets align with goals.
Process Improvement:
* Identify and suggest process improvements.
* Evaluate existing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Reporting and Communication:
* Prepare reports and presentations on financial and operational performance.
* Provide actionable insights for decision-making.
Internal Control Systems:
* Assist in designing and implementing internal control systems.
* Assess existing procedures and recommend improvements to mitigate risks.
Requirements:

* ACA/ACCA qualification
* Previous manufacturing/FMCG financial management experience
* Experience in agricultural R&D and international settings preferred
* Fluent in English and Spanish
* Advanced Excel skills
* Analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Strategic and customer-focused mindset
* SAP and BI tool experience desirable
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Proactive, innovative, and adaptable
* Ability to make complex decisions and work autonomously
* Willingness to travel occasionally
