Teaching Assistant
Primary School
Full-time Monday to Friday (08:30am-15:30pm)
Pay rate: Between £12 and £14 per hour dependent on experience

A lovely primary school in the Barry area are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and inspirational team who care about the wellbeing of their pupils. This is a full-time role during term time only and is perfect for someone passionate about education and inspiring young people.

The role:

Working with pupils with special needs – Autism, ADHD, emotional needs.
Assisting with school work and daily tasks.
Offering literacy and numeracy interventions.
Helping within the wellbeing hub for pupils with social and emotional needs.
Regular training courses provided throughout your placement.
The school:

Situated in the Barry area in a lovely community.
Friendly and driven support team invested in offering career development.
Pupils aged 3-11.
Provides regular in-depth training for staff
What the school are looking for:

Someone enthusiastic, caring and keen to learn.
Prior experience with additional needs a personal or professional level.
Minimum of GCSE maths and English C grade or above or equivalent (Degree or applicable qualification highly desirable).
Passionate about supporting pupils to enhance their futures and life outside of school.
A Teaching Assistant keen to develop and continue their career at the school.
This role is due to start April 2024 and will have potential of going permanent pending successful performance reviews. The school are looking for someone they can invest in and offer training opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
