We are looking for a knowledgeable and dynamic individual to join us as an Event Management Lecturer on a 0.6 FTE, subject to recruitment.

If you see your future developing and inspiring learners to fulfil their potential and have the skills required to create innovative and dynamic learning experiences - then make your application now.

Due to our growing course, we have a role for a new team member to deliver modules across levels 4-6 in Event Practice, Live Industry and Major project disciplines. We want those with a passion to pass on to the next generation of Event Managers.

You will actively keep up to date with trends and innovations in the sector including Health and Safety, sustainability, policy, planning and licensing. You will have proven current experience in planning, delivering and managing of events from concept to completion and will have experience in delivering events of varying styles ranging from (but not exclusively) live music, community, civil, corporate, festivals and experiential events.

You will have a sound knowledge of employability skills and relevant policies and practices within the context of SMEs and Self Employment. Essential knowledge and understanding of social and economic sustainability in the events sector, and the music and events sectors’ approach and practices in relation to accessibility, equality, diversity and inclusion.

From planning sessions and preparing resources for designated programmes and modules, to delivering enriching sessions and activities, our lecturers are at the heart of the student experience.

It’s essential that you are conversant with current professional practices within your field of expertise. Ideally, you will also have experience of teaching higher education. It is desirable that you hold a post-graduate qualification in the field, although applications will be considered from those who hold an honours degree and are considering or currently studying for a further qualification.

It is also expected that you hold a recognised teaching qualification or are willing to work towards HEA fellowship. If you have the attitude and desire to work in a varied, dynamic environment and believe in an industry shaping vocational provision then we can guarantee you will play a key role in our success.

In return you will receive a generous holiday allowance, starting at 28 days per year (FT roles), plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, as well as access to a range of other employee benefits, including our travel discounts and our healthcare cash plan.

Confetti is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure & Barring Service.

We may undertake online research of candidates in our pre-employment checks, in line with the KCSIE guidance.

We’re proud to be a progressive employer that champions opportunity and diversity in all aspects of our work, and we’re committed to equality for all. We warmly welcome applications from people who reflect our diverse community and are committed to providing flexible working opportunities across the organisation
