Music Business Lecturer

* Part time – 15 hours per week

* Up to £14,408 pro-rata per annum dependent upon skills, qualifications and experience

Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies (CICT) is a forward thinking centre of learning. Recognised for the high standards of our teaching and support, as well as our enviable industry connections, we provide a vibrant and professional learning environment for over 2000 further and higher education students studying for careers in the creative industries. CICT is part of the Confetti Media Group, which is owned by Nottingham Trent University increasing the opportunities for growth and success over the coming years.

We are looking for industry active and (ideally experienced) HE lecturers for the following modules on our Undergraduate and Postgraduate provision:

* Your Music Business Career (BA)

* Creative Marketing (MA)

* Revenue Streams (BA)

Note: although the role is advertised as a 0.4 FTE, the role could be broken into smaller roles including Hourly Paid for the right candidates.

You should have experience/industry activity in some or all of the following areas:

* Active in the industry

* Academic and scholarly track record at the required level, in a related field

* Research experience and expertise

* Specific understanding of the Music Industry in terms of developing a career as a professional

* General awareness of practices and workflow within the creative industries

From planning sessions and preparing resources for designated programmes and modules, to delivering enriching sessions and activities, our lecturers are at the heart of the student experience.

It’s essential that you are conversant with current professional practices within your field of expertise. Ideally, you will also have experience of teaching higher education. It is desirable that you hold a post-graduate qualification in the field, although applications will be considered from those who hold an honours degree and are considering or currently studying for a further qualification. It is also expected that you hold a recognised teaching qualification or are willing to work towards HEA fellowship.
